Welding Neck Flanges  also called a tapered hub flange or high-hub flange, is a kind of flange that can relocate stress to the pipes, ensuring a decrease in high-stress concentration at the bottom of the flange. 

Slip-On Flanges are  essentially a ring that is placed over the pipe end, with the flange face extending from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter. The OD of slip on flange is also welded on the back side of the flange.

Blind Flanges are used to blank off the ends of piping, valves and pressure vessel opening. From the standpoint of internal pressure and bolt loading, blind flanges, particularly in the larger sizes, are the most highly stressed of all flange types; however, since the maximum stresses in a blind flange are bending stresses at the center, they can safely be permitted to be higher than in other types of flanges.

Lap Joint Flanges are a two-piece pipe flange connection that is easy to install and disassemble.  cost-effective, can accommodate minor misalignments, and are well-suited for corrosive applications.

Threaded Flanges are connecting with pipe without welding. It is similar to slip on flange or a socket weld flange, fitted with a tapered thread (screw) inside the flange bore that is mounted on the pipe with corresponding external threads. In some cases a seal weld also applied in conjunction with threaded pipe flange.

Socket Welding Flanges  are typically useful on smaller sizes of high-pressure pipes. These pipe flanges are attached by inserting the pipe into the socket end and applying a fillet weld around the top. It allows for a smooth bore and better flow of the gas or fluid inside the pipe.
